Not all about God but you

What do I really mean when I say “Not all about God but you”? You see, your success in life, your breakthrough, you being fruitful, you ruling over every living creature and you replenishing the earth all depends on you. God has deposited the seed & the potential in you while you were being created. On Genesis 1:26, God said “Lets us make man in our own image and likeness…” In verse 27, the Bible says “So God created man in His own image…” In other words, you have the image of God. Not only the image of God do you have, but also the ability of God. Therefore, what God can do, you can also do. God can raise the dead; heal the sick, something to be in abundance, etc. That was why Jesus said in the book of John 14:12. The Bible says “…greater works than these shall ye do…” In other words, you can do more of what Jesus did while he was on earth.

Remember, I said God has given you everything you need to prosper. Look at Gen. 1:28-30. That is, everything you need so as to be fulfilled lies in your hands. God has said “Be fruitful & multiply…” He didn’t say “I will make you fruitful”. In other words, He has deposited inside you what will make you fruitful, that’s why He said “Be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth. It now up to you whether to use it or not.

That thing He (God) has deposited inside you is called a potential. What you will do to that potential is to release it so as to make it work for you. That potential God has deposited inside you is what will make you so greater works like Jesus said. For you to prosper or for you to be blessed, it is up to you. It is written in the Bible “…I will bless thee” But that’s not all. How can God bless someone? For example, you started a company & you named it ‘New Inventions PLC’ or any name; what the company does is that it produces commodity. If that company should produce a particular commodity and it is nice and amazing, people won’t say the product was from Mr. WhizDon. Rather they would say it was a product of ‘New Inventions PLC’. If the company is invited to do something similar in another place, it is not the company that will be taken there but the person in charge of the company or the workers of the company.

Therefore, when God wants to bless someone, He blesses what that person does and if that thing prospers, automatically, that person prospers. Psalm 1:1-3 proves this. This is how God blesses. God does not bless mediocrity, He blesses excellence. In other words, if you take up something to do and you commit it into God’s hands, He will bless it and that person prospers. The parable of the talents in Matt. 25:14-30 is another study of how God blesses. The 1st and 3rd servant did something with what they had and God blessed them by multiplying what they had. The 2nd servant on his part is a mediocre.

Therefore, what you have inside you is what will make you prosper because God has put it there. It is now left to you to use it so as to be blessed by God. Also, if you don’t use it, you’ve disobeyed God because He said “be fruitful and multiply” which you didn’t and the second thing is that you’ve told yourself that you don’t want to prosper because that potential God gave you is for you to make use of so as to prosper.
